Summer is for sunshine, travel and long lazy days – not for worrying about your houseplants. With a little thoughtful preparation, your indoor greenery can stay happy and healthy until you return.
1. Water well, then move them
Give each plant a thorough drink a day before you leave, let excess water drain, and shift them away from direct sun into bright, indirect light.
2. Group & humidity
Cluster plants together and place them on a pebble tray with a little water. They’ll create their own moist microclimate.
3. Simple self-watering helpers
For longer trips, add watering globes or a cotton wick from a water reservoir – elegant solutions that work quietly while you’re away.
Many of the plants and arrangements we create at Sayeh & Galton are chosen with real homes in mind, so they fit beautifully into everyday life – even when you’re on holiday.
